The One Hundred - The perfect end to an amazing winter arena season here at Emsworth.

This fantastic tournament, founded last year, was once again played to celebrate female patronage, embracing all that is good about polo.

A typical English weekend, weather wise, saw the games on Saturday played in bright sunshine whilst it was all change on Sunday with high winds and rain the main stay of the day.

Sunday’s games saw Churnly’s Maria Shevchenko, Sammy Luff and Tomás Llorens take on AFB’s Maryam Sherozia, Celine Lawrence and Chino Leiva to win the Subsidiary Final.

The Final pitted the home team Honesty, Romilla Arber, Yolanda Arber and Max Charlton against Tex8n’s Mindi Byrne, Carla Burt and Nico San Román. The match was competitive but played in great spirit and, in the interest of fairness (given that 10 goal Max Charlton was on the pitch), it was agreed that no professional would be allowed to score during the tournament.

With the score a draw at the sound of the final bell, both teams decided to share the win. However, in the spirit of the event and sportswomanship, Romilla asked for the trophy and prizes to be presented to Mindi, Carla and Nico.

A beautiful finishing touch to another great arena season! The grounds, the people and the details are always first class at Emsworth.

The players and their guests were treated to an amazing, Japanese inspired, 3 course private lunch to round off proceedings.

The event was kindly supported by our partners Chantecaille, Jean Boucton Champagne, Cliveden House, The Hinds Head Bray and My Fine Cellar.

A very special thank you to everyone that joined us, our team and all those that played such a big part in making it happen.
